Alex & Paul have been making talkies since high school. Their projects have been featured at festivals including SXSW and FantasticFest, and selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Their most recent short film, The F-Word, won the Audience Award at the Independent Film Festival of Boston and the Nantucket Film Festival and was released by The New Yorker.
Alex co-wrote the feature Good Boy, which was included on Indiewire’s Best of SXSW List, released by Shudder/IFC, and appeared on The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, and Vulture Lists of Best Horror Movies of 2025.
While attending Columbia’s MFA Film Program, Alex received the Lewis Cole Award for Excellence in Screenwriting and Directing, the Zaki Gordon Award for Screenwriting, Faculty Selects, and two Sloan Feature Screenplay Awards.
While attending UCLA's MFA Film Program, Paul was the recipient of the MPAA Award, Lisa Wiegand Fellowship, and a ASC Heritage Award nominee. His cinematography has been featured at Sundance, LAFF, and on MTV and Netflix.
As writer-directors, they have created work for The New York Times, SPIN, Vox, Wired, and Nissan.
